Thieves of Egypt Solitaire is played using four different piles of cards, which are:
The Tableau: These are the ten piles that make up the main table. 55 cards are distributed among the tableau piles, all of which are placed face-up.
The Foundations: These are the eight empty piles above the tableau piles. They start off the game empty. There are two foundation piles for every suit.
The Stock: The remaining cards of the decks form the stock which are placed face down. The stock is located at the top-left corner.
The Waste: Next to the Stock, you will find the Waste. Every time you click on the stock, one card will be dealt with the waste.
The objective of the Thieves of Egypt Solitaire game is to build foundation piles starting from Aces all the way up to Kings following the same suit. As there are eight foundation piles so, there are two foundation piles for each suit as the game is played using two decks of cards.
Thieves of Egypt Solitaire is played using two standard decks of cards or 104 cards. Out of these, 55 cards are dealt to the Tableau piles while the remaining are placed face-down on the Stock.
The 1st Tableau pile contains 1 card, 2nd - 3 cards, 3rd - 5 cards, 4th - 7 cards, 5th - 9 cards, 6th - 10 cards, 7th - 8 cards, 8th - 6 cards, 9th - 4 cards, 10th - 2 cards.
The Foundation piles and the Waste start the game empty.
Moving Cards Around the Tableau:
Only one card can be moved at a time around the tableau. The top card of a tableau pile may be moved onto another pile if it is one rank lower and of a different color than the card it is being placed on. For example, you can move a 10 of Red color onto a Jack of Black color.
Moving Cards to the Foundations:
The base of the foundations starts off with Aces after which they have to be built up to the Kings. The cards can only be moved to the Foundations if they are one rank higher and of the same suit. For example, Ace, followed by 2, 3, 4, and up to the King.
Two foundations of every suit have to be built.
Moving Cards of the Stock:
Every time you click on the stock, one card will be dealt to the Waste and the top card of the waste is available for play either to the foundation or to the tableau.
Only one pass through the stock is allowed.
The game offers unlimited undos and you can undo your moves as many times as you want to without any limit.
